Even though the following images aren't exactly representative of what I'm planning to do with this new series, I decided I would display them here because they at least give some perspective. These paintings come from an earlier series in which I was exploring the nature of Internet profile self-portraits. In these particular examples, the subjects were full-figured women taking photographs of themselves. I admire both the confrontational nature of the woman in the first two images and the more muted, but quite womanly poses of the third and fourth images.
